BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices closed lower in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.23 percent to end at 3,319.12 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.16 percent to end at 11,308.17points.
